Outstanding Youth Award

The Outstanding Youth Award competition is designed to recognize a junior (ages 12-16) and senior (ages 17-21) member of Tennessee Cattlemen’s Youth Association (TCYA) for their involvement in the cattle and agriculture industries, leadership, and community service. Participants will be judged based on the magnitude of their involvement and accomplishments in the cattle industry and agriculture, leadership involvement and participation in cattle/agriculture related groups. participation in their communities, and response to the essay question.The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association will administer the program and choose a panel of judges to review the applications and select the winners.

Junior winner receives a trophy buckle and $250 cash prize, and Senior winner receives a trophy buckle and $1000 cash prize.

The 2021 application period will be open from September 1st through December 1st, 2021. More information can be found by downloading the complete application below. Applicants may choose to submit their application via mail or email or complete an online application using the Google Form below. 

Mailed applications must be postmarked on or before December 1, 2021, and mailed to the address on the application.

Emailed applications must be received before 11:59 p.m. on December 1, 2021. Please include "OUTSTANDING YOUTH AWARD" in the subject line.
