YOUTH PROGRAMS

The Tennessee Cattlemen's Association is devoted to the future of the cattle business. TCA welcomes and encourages you to become a youth member of our association. The connections made and networking opportunities available through TCA will be invaluable for years to come.

As a Tennessee Cattlemen's Youth Association, you will have the opportunity to serve in leadership roles, opportunities to explore different aspects of the cattle industry, and engage in networking opportunities through TCYA programs.

We encourage you to check back often as we continue to work on new and exciting things for our youth members!

The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Youth Association (TCYA) has put together a virtual practice skillathon for Tennessee youth leading up to the Tennessee Junior Beef Expo. The virtual skillathon practice will be available from now through June 29th on this page using the links below to Google Forms. At the beginning of the practice skillathon, you will be prompted to enter your name, county, phone number, email address, and grade to be entered for a drawing for a TCYA prize pack. A winner will be drawn for each of the following divisions: Explorer, Junior, Junior High, Senior Level I, and Senior Level II. You may take the practice skillathon as many times as you wish to practice; however, your name will only be entered into the drawing one time. Additionally, it is important that you take the practice skillathon based on your grade as of January 1, 2022. You may take the practice skillathon for an older division for extra practice, but your name will only be entered into the drawing for your appropriate grade level. We are operating on the honor system so please be honest about your grade level.

As you are studying for the Tennessee Junior Beef Expo Skillathon, we hope you will use this as a resource to refresh your memory on basic skillathon concepts and, perhaps, learn a few things too. Once you complete the virtual skillathon practice, you will be prompted to view your score and review the correct answers. The complete answer key will also be uploaded to this page on the TCA website on the morning of June 29th. This will help you be able to do any last-minute studying and go over any questions you may have marked incorrect. Winners will be drawn on Thursday, June 30, 2022, during the TCYA Ice Cream Social at State Beef Expo. We can’t wait to see you in Lebanon at State Beef Expo!

Disclaimer: The Tennessee Cattlemen's Youth Association virtual skillathon practice is not all-encompassing. The virtual skillathon practice may or may not reflect the content of the Tennessee Junior Beef Expo skillathon. This is meant to be used as a resource for studying.
