YOUTH PROGRAMS

The Tennessee Cattlemen's Association is devoted to the future of the cattle business. TCA welcomes and encourages you to become a youth member of our association. The connections made and networking opportunities available through TCA will be invaluable for years to come.

As a Tennessee Cattlemen's Youth Association, you will have the opportunity to serve in leadership roles, opportunities to explore different aspects of the cattle industry, and engage in networking opportunities through TCYA programs.

We encourage you to check back often as we continue to work on new and exciting things for our youth members!

Practice Makes Perfect! The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Youth Association (TCYA) has put together a virtual practice skillathon for Tennessee youth leading up to the Tennessee Junior Beef Expo. The virtual skillathon practice will be available from now through June 30th via Google Forms which can be accessed by using the buttons below. At the beginning of the practice skillathon, you will be prompted to enter your name, email address, and grade to be entered for a drawing for a TCYA prize pack. A winner will be drawn for each of the following divisions: Explorer, Junior, Junior High, Senior Level I, and Senior Level II. You may take the practice skillathon as many times as you wish for practice; however, your name will only be entered into the drawing one time. Additionally, it is important that you take the practice skillathon based on your grade as of January 1, 2021. You may take the practice skillathon for an older division for extra practice, but your name will only be entered into the drawing for your appropriate grade level. We are operating on the honor system so please be honest about your grade level.

You can never have too much practice. We hope that you will find this virtual practice skillathon beneficial as you prepare for the Tennessee State Beef Expo Skillathon. Additionally, the answer key will be uploaded to the TCA website on the morning of June 30th so that you may check your answers and do any last-minute studying. Winners will be drawn on Thursday, July 1, 2021, during the TCYA Ice Cream Social at State Beef Expo. We can’t wait to see you in Lebanon at Expo!
