Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship
Scholarship Overview:
The Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship is sponsored by Farm Credit Mid America and the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association. The Heifer Initiative program provides youth in TN with a scholarship to purchase a beef heifer to show or begin their own herd. TCA and FCMA partner to provide a total of six scholarships totaling $9,000. Applications are due December 1st each year.
Kenneth Ambrose Memorial Scholarship
Scholarship Overview:
Applications are accepted for youth interested in the beef business to own a registered Simmental or SimAngus heifer. Contact Chris Martin with questions: martin.farms@yahoo.com or
(931) 580-6821. Applications are currently available (see link below) and at martinfarmsbeef.com. Applications are due in September each year.
TCA College Scholarships
Scholarship Overview:
The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association will award three scholarships of $600 to outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the beef industry. Additionally, the Tennessee CattleWomen’s Association will award a $600 scholarship to a deserving recipient. The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who will emerge as industry leaders.
