Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship

Scholarship Overview:
The Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship is sponsored by Farm Credit Mid America and the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association. The Heifer Initiative program provides youth in TN with a scholarship to purchase a beef heifer to show or begin their own herd. TCA and FCMA partner to provide a total of six scholarships totaling $9,000. 
Kenneth Ambrose Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Overview:
Applications are accepted for youth interested in the beef business to own a registered Simmental or SimAngus heifer. Contact Chris Martin with questions: MartinFarmsBeef@gmail.com or (931) 580-6821.
 
TCA College Scholarships

Scholarship Overview:
The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association will award three scholarships of $600 to outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the beef industry. The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who will emerge as industry leaders.

Anyone interested in applying can download an application directly from the Martin Farms website, contact Chris Martin at MartinFarmsBeef@gmail.com, or by phone at 931-580-6821. Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 10.
The application period for 2022-2023 TCA academic scholarships has closed. Please check back in Spring 2023 for next year's application. 
Applications will be accepted online via GoogleForms, mail-in, or email. Applications must be received (or postmarked if mailing) by December 1, 2022. Please direct any questions to the Director of Youth Programs & Outreach, Melinda Perkins at melinda@tncattle.org.

Applicants will be notified of their application status in late December. Award recipients will be recognized at the TCA Youth Awards Banquet on January 21, 2023 at the Lane Agri-Park in Murfreesboro, TN
