Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship

Scholarship Overview:
The Youth Beef Heifer Initiative Scholarship is sponsored by Farm Credit Mid America and the Tennessee Cattlemen's Association. The Heifer Initiative program provides youth in TN with a scholarship to purchase a beef heifer to show or begin their own herd. TCA and FCMA partner to provide a total of six scholarships totaling $9,000. 
Kenneth Ambrose Memorial Scholarship

Scholarship Overview:
Applications are accepted for youth interested in the beef business to own a registered Simmental or SimAngus heifer. Contact Chris Martin with questions: MartinFarmsBeef@gmail.com or (931) 580-6821.
TCA College Scholarships

Scholarship Overview:
The Tennessee Cattlemen’s Association will award three scholarships of $600 to outstanding students who are pursuing careers in the beef industry. Additionally, the Tennessee CattleWomen’s Association will award a $600 scholarship to a deserving recipient. The purpose of this program is to identify and encourage talented and thoughtful students who will emerge as industry leaders.

The application period for educational scholarships has closed. Check back in Spring 2022 for next year's application.


Applications will be accepted from September 1st through December 1st, 2021. More information can be found by downloading the complete application below. Applicants may choose to submit their application via mail or email or complete an online application using the Google Form below.
Applications for this scholarship award have closed for 2021. Please check back in Fall 2022 for next year's application. You can also visit www.martinfarmsbeef.com to learn more about this scholarship program. 
  • Mailed applications must be postmarked on or before December 1, 2021, and mailed to the address on the application

  • Emailed applications must be received before 11:59 p.m. on December 1, 2021. Please include "HEIFER SCHOLARSHIP" in the subject line.

  • Online applications must be submitted using the Google Form link and must be received before 11:59 p.m. on December 1, 2021.
