Beef and Bees Workshop Set for July 25 - Registration Ends July 19


Curious about how beef production might affect native pastures? Later this month, people can learn about research surrounding this topic at a free Beef and Bees Workshop at the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture.


Set for Tuesday, July 25, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Pat Keyser, director of the UT Center for Native Grasslands and a professor in the School of Natural Resources, will host the workshop. It will include an interactive presentation session covering diversity selection, native pasture management, pasture persistence and pollinator reference. Attendees will also go to UT’s East Tennessee AgResearch and Education Center-Holston Unit to explore native grass pastures interseeded with a diverse blend of native flowering forages.


Lunch will be included. Pre-registration is open online at the tiny.utk.edu/beef-and-bees-workshop until Wednesday, July 19, to accommodate lunch and transportation needs.
